Consider the following: 1) quite often, something that can be adjusted fairly easily can be the difference between mediocre and excellent, below average and above average, good and great; 2) we have less and less time to deliver results; 3) execution is the key to success; 4) we all have a very limited attention span.
Those realities, as they relate to institutional advancement, have led to the creation of the Advancement Minute, a series of one minute video information clips we have created that will be available for you (free) on the Advancement Partners website.
Each one minute session is designed to clearly and succinctly address the fundamental elements of institutional advancement – the annual fund, prospect identification, major gifts, the giving pyramid, etc. You can take one minute, watch the video then immediately put into practice what you have learned.
It will help you to create more effective plans; achieve better results; inform and educate others that you are working with about institutional advancement and what is required to be successful; help you to avoid pitfalls, doing something that will be counterproductive or will not work; help you to implement best practices; and, importantly, encourage you to EXECUTE!
Our plan is to introduce a new one minute session on a regular basis (every couple of weeks or so) and to coordinate, as best we can, with the secondary school calendar year.
We hope you enjoy this new component of our website and that it helps you reach your institution’s philanthropic potential. Remember, it's all about execution! Good luck.
